My favorite manga series at the moment (it also tends to change a lot, lol) has to be either ES (Eternal Sabbath) or TCP (Tokyo Crazy Paradise).
Both artist have a very intense way of drawing and their plots just dig into you, and refuse to let go.
You may know the mangaka of ES, Fuyumi Soryo, from her shojo series MARS (another big fav of mine).
I read both series as scanlations, and will continue to do so for Yoshiko Nakamura's Tokyo Crazy Paradise since it isn't licensed. If however Nakamura's other series Skip Beat does well for Viz in the States, I have high hopes about them picking up more of her work!
If you liked Fuyumi Soryo's MARS and can take some the sometimes intense physiology, definitely either borrow or buy Eternal Sabbath as the first two volumes are already out in the US from Del Rey.

Hmm...this is quite a hard question. But I guess I'll say right now it's KARE First Love. It relates to me in some ways, so I'm guessing that might be one reason why it's my favorite right now.

FiReYfAeRiE: Isn't Furuba great though?! So sad that it's over... I wanted it to go on for at least one or two more volumes... ;___;
My favorite manga is, and will forever be, "Saiyuki" by Kazuya Minekura. *turns around in chair and smiles affectionately at her collection*

Death Note is like... the best manga ever. And Uzumaki. I love horror-related bull.

*Drools* I now have two new favorites at once. (Thank God for libraries! xD). They are "Fullmoon O Sagashite" and "Dragon Voice." They're so freakin' awesome AND they both involve music!! ^___^ VIVA LA MUSICA!!!! *Scampers off*

X. Kamui = Love, CLAMP = Love. XD Death Note. D. Gray Man. Nana.
And they had to make 3 of them into anime, recently. (X has been an anime for a while), and so of course I'm having a hell of a time trying to catch up with all the episodes! One episode a week, and I still can't catch up. Goodness.

Hehe! ParaKiss fits your character more than football. (at least I think so. XD) The only thing I really like about it is how cool the girl looks, but she's really not that cool if you think about her personality. That's why I was really happy when I found Nana. Nana O. looks cool AND is cool! I'd totally be her fan if I were in the Nana-world. My favorite NANA character would be Shin though. It was Nobu, but I got mad at him for not understanding what Nana K. was going through, and never forgave him. </ramble>

Motoko is cool isn't she. XD Shinobu's cuter than Motoko though. I wish I were a tiny cutie with a big forehead like her. -^_^-
