Holiday Songs - Anime Style

Yes, as we all know, it's now the holiday season. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or even if it's just your birthday this month, there's some sort of song accompanied to it. But those songs are old and worn out, we've heard them all too many times.

So what's an anime fan to do while hoping that your parents will get the hint and buy you that box set you've been leaving ads around the house for? Take those boring old songs and adapt them to our favorite series.

Just take the tune to any holiday song, be it a christmas carol or anything else, and change the words to fit whatever anime you chose. That, and have fun with it!

I'll begin with a few that I've been working on for a while.

(Okay, so "day" and "Laid" don't rhyme, and "card games" isn't the same amount of syllables as "dreidel" but let's not get picky about the details. The joke still stands.)

Yeah, I liked the Death Note one better.
Mostly because I like Death Note better, but the song also worked a bit better.

Well, the DN one took a lot more thought, as the results show. But I had to include a Hanukkah song parody as well. What I really want to do is go to a convention around this time of year with a cosplay group to sing 'em, but that aint happening yet. Just a matter of timing.

Sing them at Otakon. Its actually in July this year.

You could probably get a few cosplayers to wear big red santa hats. That'd be pretty awesome.
