Can't connect to Sakuramb instant messenging.

Well, it's like the title says. I can't connect to the Jabber sakuramb instant messenger's service. I'm using Gaim, but I think it's more my username that's the problem. Are ":" and "." invalid characters? I tried the url encoding for the username (%2E%3AMinoru%3A%2E) but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

It appears to strip out the . and : before attempting to authenticate you. Probably Gaim doing it, but Psi won't even let me set an account up with :s in it.

Take note that '.' is passed on by Psi, and makes it into the log files. Thus, I assume it is the ':' that is the problem. That and Gaim, anyway.

We can change your usename to not have :s in it, as Sonic said.

That would be fine with me. ^^ If you do, feel free to get rid of both period and the semicolon. I'd much rather have the plain old "Minoru" than ".:Minoru:." anyways. Originally, there was another user named Minoru, but he only posted 2 or 3 times. I really wanted to name Minoru, so I just added the ".:*:." in there. Since the forum was redone a few years back, the original "Minoru" user name no longer exists, so there shouldn't be any problems.
